Description

Dr. Sverre Lindstrøm has been the national team doctor for Norway’s cross-country skiing team for over 20 years. When he is found dead at his desk in his private clinic in Lillehammer, his death is initially treated as cardiac arrest.

But something does not add up.

In just five days, NRK is set to air the documentary The Cross-Country Skiing Lies, promising to expose systematic doping in Norwegian cross-country skiing. Sverre had information that could destroy careers, reputations, and the credibility of an entire sporting community.

Five people visited the clinic on the day he died. All of them had a connection to the documentary. Two of the visits do not appear in the clinic’s booking system.

Was Sverre’s death natural, or did someone make sure he would never reveal what he knew?
